The BackgrounD
Seema was called to the world of plant medicine from an early age, feeling a deep innate pull, curiosity and comfort in nature. She would happily frolic in nature (especially fond of her Grandmother’s garden) collecting flowers, leaves from various plants, pinecones and shells. Staring in awe as she examined the spirals and patterns found in the fabric of nature. In these seemingly quiet and innocent moments she could hear the plants speaking to her, imprinting their ancient wisdom onto her. Little did she know her childhood curiosity was paving the path to the formation of what she came to Earth to do. She was and still is deeply fascinated by the beauty and symmetry of sacred geometry and nature.
Seema’s compass for natural healing comes from her Ayurvedic roots. Her grandmother - the source of medical wisdom in the family - taught Seema about the healing properties of various plants, flowers and barks from her own herbal garden. Seema went back to school for formal training and is now a Master Herbalist. She is trained in North American herbal medicine, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She weaves these modalities along with her intuition to heal the body, mind and soul.
Suffering from allergic reactions to ingredients found in conventional medicines, food and over the counter products, Seema sought the answers to balanced health and wellness in nature. Over the years, she refined her craft by studying Herbalism and Yoga. She began concocting her own medicinal creams, serums, balms and tinctures based on the wisdom passed down through her grandma and the generations of ancestors before her. She would spend hours experimenting with her own creations, blending by hand until the proportions were just right. Her innate ability to heal through nature and the inherent wisdom passed down to her soon earned her the reputation as the “neighbourhood doctor”. As demands for her blends began to grow, she knew she had the power to heal others the way she had healed herself.
