Why does my body butter melt?

Our Body Butters are completely natural as we do not use synthetic stabilizers. This means IF your body butters are subjected to hot temperatures (~30 C/ 86F) their molecular composition will change (from a whipped texture to an oil when heated). Do not store your body butter in your (purse, car or in direct sunlight). During very warm weather body butter will soften or melt. Melting is a natural reaction to heat which we cannot control. Melting will not affect the quality or healing benefits of the butter but the consistency (molecules) will change from a whipped texture to a body balm once solidified. Please track your parcel and pick up promptly upon delivery to avoid any potential for melting. Do not leave your parcel on your porch or mailbox during summer months. We urge you to stock up on Body Butters during Winter/Fall.

What is the shelf life of the products?

We do not add preservatives to lengthen the life of our products. However, most of our products contain a high level of naturally occurring Vitamin E which is a natural preservative extending shelf life. Body Butters are good up to 2 years as long as they are free from moisture and direct heat. Serums, Soaps, Shampoo Bars, Facial Clay Masks and Cleansing Oils are good for a year. Always ensure you have firmly screwed the lid back onto your products and keep in a cool/dark place to ensure freshness. 


shipping costs?

All of our products are shipped out of Canada. Our eco friendly reusable glass containers help maintain the integrity of our precious ingredients - they also add weight which translates to higher shipping costs. Sat Yuga Life absorbs a portion of your shipping costs! We ship within Canada and USA for free over $150. Due to recent “world events” shipping costs have increased exponentially.

INTERNATIONAL shipping, DUTIES and taxes outside of north america?

We have moved away from worldwide shipping due to high shipping costs and duties. We don’t have control or oversight into the potential duties and/or taxes that your respective country can charge you upon delivery. Unfortunately, we have had customers pay high duties/taxes within the EU. Currently we are shipping to the EU and Australia only. We would love to find a better way to ship worldwide one day.

I have a nut allergy can i use sat yuga life products?

Some of our products contain nut oils like (Argan, Macadamia etc). These oils usually do not affect those who have a nut allergy. However, we strongly recommend you consult your doctor, naturopath or health care provider prior to use.


do you use any synthetic ingredients?

Never! We pride ourselves on being completely natural and plant based. We do not use any synthetics, toxins, aluminum, chemicals, parabens, phthalates, etc. We love the earth and we love you. We are conscious about sourcing fair and ethically traded raw materials.


Are Sat Yuga Life products mass produced?

No we are completely hand crafted and a small batch retailer. This means there can be small variances to each item as they are not made by machine. Each product is unique just like you! Items are made with a lot of attention and love in micro batches to ensure freshness.


Can I return or exchange a product if I don’t like it?

We hope you can appreciate that we are a small batch retailer and an online store. Shipping costs are not conducive to returns or exchanges. All sales are final. That said, if you have a specific issue please email us via our contact us page and we will try to help rectify the situation.
